Below the Knee Amputee

11 Jun 2016

In 2006 I became a below the knee amputee due to cancer. I was 29yr. and scared. My orthopedic surgeon referred me to John Allen by saying “I have this guy and he’s the best”. Walking into the office for the first time, I received the warmest welcome from the Leslie at the front desk and while discussing my prosthetic options with John, he explained a lot of options. It was overwhelming to learn about all the options for different feet and ankles. John gave me places to look for my specific needs and helped me make an informed decision to what would work for me. Over the last 11 yrs. I have gone through many legs, John continues to support me when during my ever changing needs and keeps me up to date on the newest options out there. They are like family in the office and I always have a positive and calming experience there.
